The Bratysławski land is the smallest region of Slovakia, it is situated in the south–western part of the country. From the west it borders with Austria, from the south – with Hungary. It includes the region of the so called Zahorie, the Naddunajska Lowland (Podunajska nizina) and the range of Małe Karpaty. The main rivers in this area are Dunaj and Morawa.

While visiting this region, you should not miss the capital city of Slovakia, Bratysława, being one of the youngest capital cities of Europe (since the year 1993). The Bratyslawski land offers an ideal place for a summer holiday: the rest center „Sunny lakes” – an artificial reservoir in the Town of Senec where there are among others 9 warm swimming–pools (temperature 32 – 36 ºC). It is also necessary to go along the „Małokarpacki Wine Trail. Among the gentle hills of Male Karpaty from Svaty Jur to Smolenice there spread lovely towns and villages. In September there takes place here the Wine Festival, Malokarpackie Grape Harvest in the town of Pezinok or in Modra (you can taste then young wine – burciak) and in November in the town of Pezinok there take place the Days of Open Cellars.
