It covers the territory of 19948 km² and is divided into 26 districts, 4 cities having district rights, it has 169 communes and 89 cities. Wrocław is the administrative center and the seat of provincial authorities. The biggest cities are: Wrocław, Jelenia Góra, Lubin and Wałbrzych.
