The morawsko–śląski land (Moravskoslezsky kraj), despite the high level of industrialization, boasts numerous landscape territories which are under protection as well as many natural reserves. These are created by dense forests, rocks, untypical natural formations, lowland bogs and marshes that have a unique character.
